Helping ideas take shape
About 14 years ago, a cardiologist asked me a question that changed the direction of my writing life.
Did I know anyone who was a ghostwriter?
“Me,” I said.
He had a book burning within him, but writing wasn’t his craft, and he knew it. He was an expert in his field and a fine speaker. What he needed was someone to help him put his words on a page.
From a wad of notes about an inch thick, I ghostwrote his first book, Have You Planned Your Heart Attack?
That book became the start of a long and trusted collaboration that produced six heart health books that now sit among 10 non-fiction books I’ve written in all.
That work taught me that sometimes people carry important ideas for years, but they need another person to help them find the shape, the words, the structure, and the courage to bring those ideas into the world.

Over time, I came to see this wasn’t only true of books. It’s true of women’s lives. It may be true of your life.
So many capable women reach a point where they know there’s still more in them: more to say, more to create, more to contribute. Yet, they are not quite sure how to begin again.
They’re not empty. They’re not finished. They’re not lacking ability. However, they may be tired. Overcommitted. Out of practice. Carrying ideas they put aside years ago, not sure how to move from longing into action.
I coach because I know that terrain.
I know what it is to carry years of experience, responsibility, ideas, unfinished dreams, and the quiet sense that there’s still something more.
And I’ve learned that the way forward is rarely a dramatic reinvention. More often it begins with space to think, words to name what matters, structure to take action, and support to keep going.
That is the work I now offer: creating space, structure, encouragement, and practical support for women who know there’s still more in them, and are ready to begin again.
